Chef Courtney Clark is the owner and operator of Bliss Bakeshop, in Brooklyn, Michigan. She is the former owner of Cake Nouveau in Ann Arbor, MI, where she and her talented staff created custom cakes and treats for 9 years. After she and her husband Kendon started a family, they decided to close the shop and focus on their two small children.
After closing up shop in 2014, Courtney began teaching at her Alma Mater, The French Pastry School, in Chicago. She would travel from Michigan to Chicago 4 times a year to teach in the L' Art du Gateau program (while Kendon and the grandparents cared for the kids!) As soon as the kids were old enough to be in school full-time, she began dreaming of opening a commercial kitchen once again - this time in their new home of Brooklyn, Michigan.
