I am beyond excited to announce that almost 6 years after closing the doors of our beloved Cake Nouveau, in Ann Arbor Michigan, we are ready to re-open a new cake shop in our current home town. I have had the ultimate priviledge of being home with our 2 kids and seeing them grow into the fabulous 1st and 3rd graders that they are today, and I can say that I am chomping at the bit to run my business once again (outside the home)!

3 years ago, we moved to a little town in the Irish Hills of Michigan, called Brooklyn. My husband Kendon has worked here in education for the last 18 years and is thrilled with his new 4 minute commute. Right smack in the middle of Covid-19 shutdown, I went running (literally) by a "For Lease" sign that caught my eye. Long story short, we have begun construction on a new commercial kitchen...get this...4 blocks from our house! What. a. dream.
After a few years of rest, reflection, and growth, I have come away with a new vision for our future shop. I was really excited to come up with a whole new esthetic and business model - so of course, we needed a new name! Cake Nouveau will always hold a special place in my heart, but I am already in love with our new venture - Bliss Bakeshop!
Stay tuned for our growing website, new products, and tons of fun holiday offerings. We will have regular blog posts - which is another totally new thing for us! Courtney is excited to give some personal behind-the-scenes info, pictures, stories, and lots more. We will definitely be posting pictures of our progress on the new shop construction and a future Grand Opening. Whew. So many new things. Come along for the ride!
